The National Association of Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) is pleased to be able to offer facilitators training in the Respectful Relation Education (RRE) program, LOVE BiTES

LOVE BiTES is a school-based Domestic and Family Violence and Sexual Assault prevention program. Love Bites is based on best practice standards for RRE programs as recommended by Our Watch the Federal Government funded Australian Domestic and Family Violence Clearing House and other leading academics in the area of violence against women.

Over 100,000 high school students throughout Australia have participated in this interactive and innovative program aimed at year 10 students

LOVE BiTES promotes an integrated partnership approach to prevention and generates local ownership of the program. Professionals including teachers, sexual assault workers, domestic violence workers, youth workers, counsellors and police etc can facilitate the program

This two day facilitators training includes accompanying resources to start up LOVE BiTES in your local schools.  In addition to the resources required for the year 10 program, participants will also be provided with resources and programming for the Years 7, 8 and 9 LOVE BiTES Junior program.

With the Tasmanian Government's development of  Safe Homes, Safe Families as the action plan to tackle domestic and family violence, the LOVE BiTES program will provide schools with an additional resource to compliment and enhance the proposed RRE framework for all schools to be implemented in 2017.
