The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) has just launched a diversity and inclusion project called Talent Camp.
Talent Camp is designed to provide skills development opportunities to emerging storytellers and screen content creatives from diverse backgrounds (cultural background, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, geographic disadvantage and socio-economic status).
The AFTRS is interested in people who have produced creative works, are passionate about storytelling and are interested in exploring a career in screen media.
The New South Wales workshops take place in Hobart, and are open to participants from all across Tasmania.
Workshop dates: Monday 16 - Friday 20 October, 9.30am - 5pm
Participation is free, and funds will be made available to contribute to travel and accommodation costs for participants from rural or regional locations.
Talent Camp workshops run for five consecutive days, with 12-15 participants, and will focus on story development, producing considerations and career pathways.
