The Tasmanian Government has allocated $400,000 over three years for the Learning Grants Program (the Program), with $200,000 available in 2017-18.
The Program is one of several new initiatives the Tasmanian Government is funding over four years through the $1 million on-island support program. The additional on-island support is to make sure that families have a comprehensive range of wrap-around services to help them settle well into the Tasmanian community.
The Program will focus on students from refugee and migrant backgrounds in Years 9 and 10 in Tasmanian Government schools.
The Learning Grants Program closes at 5pm on 1 December 2017.
