Intercultural Sports League and Hurricanes partnership

The Intercultural Sports League (ICSL) has officially partnered with the Hurricanes to create the inaugural Hurricanes Champions League ahead of what is shaping up to be a huge summer of cricket in Tasmania.

The ICSL recorded around 150 active players and 370 supporters from many different cultural backgrounds last season, which is hoped will continue to increase with the ongoing support of the Hobart Hurricanes. The Hurricanes Champions League will be a T20 community cricket competition consisting of between 8 and 10 teams from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

There are currently players with Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Nepalese, Syrian, Australian and Bhutanese backgrounds all participating in the competition which will run from 22 October 2017 - 21 January 2018.
