Managing Money

The Australian Government’s Department of Human Services delivers social and health-related payments as well as services such as Centrelink and Medicare to people including migrants, refugees and visitors, families, older people, carers, people with disabilities, job seekers, and others in need of financial assistance.

This free service provides financial counselling through community organisations, community legal centres and some government agencies.

  (Monday to Friday 9.30am - 4pm) 

Provides access to financial counsellors with extensive knowledge of a range of law and policy areas, including consumer credit law, debt enforcement practices, bankruptcy, industry hardship policies and government concession frameworks.
