Financial assistance

Department of Human Services

The Australian Government’s Department of Human Services delivers social and health-related payments as well as services such as Centrelink and Medicare to people including migrants, refugees and visitors, families, older people, carers, people with disabilities, job seekers, and others in need of financial assistance.

Financial counselling

ASIC Money Smart

This free service provides financial counselling through community organisations, community legal centres and some government agencies.
