Get Outside is an innovative social inclusion and environmental custodianship program run by Wildcare Inc and the Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service.
Over the last six years, it has facilitated thousands of new arrivals out to Tasmania’s natural and wild places through hundreds of group excursions to connect, learn, laugh, sing, dance and eat.
The program has also trained over 50 new arrivals in outdoor leadership to help support the program, engage their own communities and provide employment pathways into the tourism, volunteering and land management industries.
