Duration N/A
Description

Fashion is more than just cloth

It is culture It is heritage. It is expression.

We want you to see us, to hear us, to think about all our stories, to be amazed by our beautiful clothes, to think about the mothers, grandmothers, aunties and all the women in our lives who have got us here. We want you to find a place in your world where we can belong.”

Quote from ‘Women’s Business’ participant.

You are invited to join us to celebrate the diversity of Tasmanian women as we share an evening of fashion, dance and stories. Please come along to this women-only* performance and explore the culture, religion and personal stories of women from migrant and refugee background.

With this show, we hope to build relationships between established Australians and newer Australians by developing a deeper understanding and appreciation of the diversity of what it means to be a woman in Tasmania. Let's come together to celebrate the beauty of our multicultural society.

(*Please note that in order to be appropriate for some cultural sensitivities, this show is strictly for people who identify as women. It is suitable for ages 8 and up.)
